Editorial Policy

How we create, verify, and maintain content on SunGeo.net.

Our Content Process

Every article on SunGeo.net follows a consistent process: research, drafting, review, and publication. We use AI tools to assist with drafting and translation, but every piece of content is reviewed and fact-checked by a human author before publication.

1

Research

We identify the topic, gather peer-reviewed sources, check current data from NOAA, BGS, and our monitoring stations, and outline the article.

2

AI-Assisted Drafting

We use large language models to help generate initial drafts. The AI provides structure and coverage, but the factual claims, citations, and interpretations come from verified sources.

3

Human Review

The author reads every article, verifies citations against their original sources (PubMed, NOAA data, institutional publications), corrects any AI errors, and adjusts tone and accuracy.

4

Publication & Monitoring

Published articles are monitored for accuracy. Health-related content is reviewed at least every 6 months. If new research contradicts a claim, we update the article.

AI Transparency

SunGeo.net uses AI at multiple levels: vision models analyze spectrograms from our monitoring stations, text models translate content into 8 languages, and language models assist with article drafting.

We believe in transparency. Articles that were drafted with AI assistance are marked with an "AI-assisted" label. Every article, regardless of how it was drafted, goes through human review before publication.

Our real-time data interpretations (the status scores, wellness insights, and forecasts on the homepage) are generated by AI pipelines and cross-validated across multiple monitoring stations. When a station provides stale data, we flag it visually rather than hiding it.

Our Sources

We cite peer-reviewed research published in indexed scientific journals. When referencing medical or health claims, we use sources from PubMed, institutional research databases, and government agencies (NOAA SWPC, BGS/UKRI, INGV).

We do not cite sources we have not read. When the AI generates a citation, we verify it exists and says what we claim it says. We have caught and corrected fabricated citations before they reached publication.

Corrections & Updates

If we discover an error — factual, interpretive, or citation-related — we correct the article and note the change. Significant corrections are documented in the article footer.

If you spot an error, please contact us. We take accuracy seriously and will investigate every report.

Health Content Disclaimer

SunGeo.net publishes content about environmental factors (barometric pressure, geomagnetic activity, Schumann resonance) and their potential relationship to human wellbeing. This content is educational and informational.

We are not medical professionals. Our articles cite published research but do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.

Review Schedule

Health-related articles are reviewed at least every 6 months to ensure accuracy against current research. Data-focused articles are updated when monitoring infrastructure or methodology changes.
