Privacy Policy

Short version: we don't collect your data. Long version below.

Effective: April 12, 2026

What We Collect

Almost nothing. SunGeo.net does not require accounts, does not use tracking cookies, and does not collect personal data. Your preferences (language, theme, notification settings) are stored in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, an EU-hosted, cookie-free, GDPR-compliant analytics service. Plausible collects no personal data, uses no cookies, and does not track individual users. We see aggregate page views and referral sources — nothing more.

Push Notifications

If you opt in to push notifications, your browser generates a unique endpoint URL that we store on our server. This endpoint cannot identify you personally. You can unsubscribe at any time through your browser settings or the notification preferences on our site, which deletes the endpoint from our server.

Contact Form

When you use our contact form, your email address and message are sent via Resend (our email provider) to our inbox. We do not store contact form submissions in a database or use them for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Cloudflare provides CDN and DDoS protection. Plausible provides analytics. Resend handles contact form emails. No other third-party services process user data.

Cookies

SunGeo.net uses zero tracking cookies. Plausible Analytics is fully cookie-free. The only browser storage we use is localStorage for your preferences (language, theme, notification settings).

Your Rights (GDPR)

Since we collect almost no personal data, there is very little to exercise rights over. However, under EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port any personal data we might hold. For push notification subscribers, unsubscribing deletes your endpoint from our server.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. We will not suddenly start collecting data without telling you.
